Franklin and Hadley’s temperature control technology had a leading chain reaction in intensifying productivity and the U.S. workforce continued to move to the southern states. From then on, air cooling systems have continued to improve the comfort in housing and factories.

During the late 1750s, Ben Franklin and professor Hadley of Cambridge, trail-blazed a test to explore the rules of vaporization as a method to immediately cool an object. Franklin and Hadley confirmed that evaporation of highly unstable liquids, such as alcohol and ether, can be blended to lower the temperature of an object past the freezing point of water.
